Violets in the Yard

There are violets in my backyard. Hundreds of them. I know many, ok, most people think that violets in the grass is a weed, and as such, should be exterminated. Fortunately for the violets, I do not agree. I think they not only are harmless, they are beautiful. They never get too big, or tall because you can run over them with the lawn mower just like grass. They grow side by side with the grass, and create that same green ground cover that is desired, right?

Who’s up for a Picnic?

I love picnics! Yes, I do! It does not matter to me whether it’s on a mountain scenic overpass, or in the back yard. I don’t care if we’re in a park with a grill, and picnic table, or on the ground. I even heard my sister say her family “had a picnic in the car” yesterday- well, I hadn’t thought of it that way, but, sure, call it a picnic!
