I’ll be leaving soon to visit some old friends on the coast. We get together at least once a year for good food, good fun and fine wine. Getting together with your buddies is a great way to keep the friendships growing, don’t you think?

One of the traditional decorations of the season is English holly with it’s blood-red berries, and spiky leaves. It’s been used since Roman times when it was believed to ward off evil witchcraft and lightning strikes. It was used in the winter hoilidays to brighten the home and bring hope of returning green life.
